Firstly let me start with an apology/explanation for my absence from the world of blogging for the past 10 days! My world has unbelievably changed over the past week in such an utterly amazing way, and as soon as I have the pictures with me I'll be sharing all of it with you too! I can't wait!
But in the meantime let me update you on a cheeky little burger joint off Carnaby Street for those greedy days!
Just seconds away from the hustle and bustle of Carnaby Street proper, tucked away on Newburgh Street is the delicious Carnaby Burger Co.
Enter through their green door for literally the best burgers ever, with the best dipping sauces ever too!
Now I'm a veggie, and for most veggies out there, heading to a burger restaurant is a right pain as there usually is just one token option. Not here though!
These guys are open minded, and have thought about us too!
So because of this, and luckily there were a group of us for dinner, I got to try not one, but two veggie burgers! If you're having a fat day, do it in a big way I say!
So I started with the homemade falafel burger with my favourite melted cheese, and cucumber raita, and sweet chilli sauce. Alongwith chips of course, and the best bit: peppercorn dipping sauce! This stuff was fiery, rich and divine drizzled all over the crispy chips! And that was just the side!
As you bite into that beast of a burger, you taste a delicious toasted brioche bun, followed by sweet and salty fried onions, gluttonous melted cheese, fresh tomato and crunchy lettuce with a cool cucumber raita and the sweet chilli sauce to top it off. Such a long list of delicious ingredients of course means a delicious all in one burger!
Then came burger number TWO. Their southern style quorn bruschetta. Which was pretty self explanatory really: brioche bun with a quorn escalope topped with melted Swiss cheese, chopped tomatoes, basil and fresh pesto. Equally scrummy!
Mr Zerodays had a chicken fillet burger with guacamole and crispy bacon. Utterly delicious too I'm told!
So my suggestion is; next time you've worked up an appetite from all your shopping on Oxford Street, pop around the corner, put your feet up and indulge (veggies and carnivores alike!)!
P.s. They deliver too! Happy munching!
